Ireland West Trade Centre, Rhode Island: Our new address!
We travelled to America as an Irish business from the west of Ireland on a trade delegation. Our local enterprise office in Galway had invited us to apply to be part of this amazing initiative in Rhode Island. The timing could not have been better for us. We were delighted to meet the other Irish businesses and the friendliness of each of them was so welcoming for us. We had a meet and greet with members of the local commerce community and enjoyed the positive interest regarding ” Generation Ireland”. We had a very enlightening meeting in the Rhode Island Tourism Board in the commerce centre. We also had the pleasure of a meeting with the principle and vice principle of Bishop Henricken Catholic boys school, this was the highlight of the day for sure! The evening was spent at the local Irish bar, Patricks Bar. A lovely evening of chatting and brainstorming was had with some light beverages, a jig and the occasional song. Connections were made, friendships began and the promise to return and use this amazing opportunity to grow our connections and develop relationships between the Rhode Island community and Ireland were paramount.
